Rental Terms

  1. General Rental Terms and Conditions
You can rent a bike if you are over 18 years old and have a valid bike licence. The tenant named in the contract is liable for the consequences of any breach of contract. The bicycle is operated by the hirer named in the contract. You must not sublet or lend your bike to another person. The Renter agrees to treat the bike as a good steward. Any penalties incurred will be borne by the tenant. The rental cannot be renewed without the prior permission of the bike owner. The lease shall take effect upon signature of the lease agreement by both parties, payment of the full amount of the estimated lease and payment of the security deposit.
  1. Payments and surcharges
The full estimated rental must be paid upon collection of the bike. Payment can be made in cash or to our transaction account, IBAN SI56 1010 0003 9715 869 (opened with INTESA SANPAOLO). You can also pay by credit card.
  1. Collection and return of the bike
Pick up: from 9:00 Return by 17:00 or. by arrangement If the bike is not returned by the agreed time, the renter will be charged an additional total rental fee of EUR 50. On return, both parties shall carry out a record check of the bicycle and determine whether the condition of the bicycle corresponds to the record at the time of collection. In the event of disagreement, the subject-matter of the dispute shall be established on the record and the dispute may be brought before the competent court in Koper.
  1. Tenant’s liability
The renter must lock the bike each time they leave the premises. The liability of the tenant is unlimited:
  • for injuries to the bike that were not caused by the accident,
  • for damages and penalties resulting from non-compliance with regulations, laws, rules, etc., for which the tenant is materially and criminally liable even after the end of the rental period, regardless of when the notification of the offence or the penalties is received. offences and penalties, or penalties for it.
Any tampering with the bike without prior agreement with the lessor is prohibited and therefore no repair costs will be allowed. In the event of a breakdown of the bicycle or the equipment on the bicycle due to wear and tear or a technical defect, the cost of the repair will be charged to the lessor and the repair and payment will be agreed with the lessee. In the event of a bike breakdown, the renter must immediately inform the landlord (tel: +386 599 747 75 ) so that they can decide together on the next steps to be taken. If the defect is not the fault of the Renter and has been repaired by the Renter in agreement with the Lessor, the Renter must present the original invoice, which must be in the name of the owner of the bicycle, when returning the bicycle. In this case, and only in this case, the landlord will reimburse the tenant for the costs incurred.
  1. Security deposit
Upon collection of the bike, the landlord may require a security deposit of € 100, which will be used to cover the cost of a new battery (due to a breakdown) or damage to the bike, if deemed necessary. In the event of an accident, if the deposit is not paid for various reasons, it will be paid when the bike is returned. For damaged vehicles and equipment, the price list for original spare parts and authorised repairers will apply.
